Our integrated manufacturing process – – from welding, through machining and painting, right through to final assembly and testing – guarantees seamless quality control and the timely completion of your project.
Comprehensive fitting-out of steel structures
At Expom, we specialise in the comprehensive fitting out of steel structures with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems. Our team comprises more than a dozen experienced specialists who carry out projects for both the offshore and onshore industries, as well as for other sectors requiring sophisticated equipment.
Our performance in figures:
- Area: 3,000 m² dedicated, excellently organised assembly area.
- Working height: 18 metres, which enables the assembly of and work on large-scale structures.
- High load-bearing capacity: Two halls, equipped with crane systems with a total load-bearing capacity of 52 metric tonnes per hall (2×32 t + 2×20 t), which ensure safe and efficient handling even of the heaviest components is guaranteed.
- Test benches:
- 3 test stations for testing winches on lifeboats
- 3 test benches for testing cranes (2,000 tonometres)
- Unique retractable roof: It enables cranes and other tall structures to be tested across their full operating range, without having to leave the hall.
- Process efficiency: Testing equipment in the hall is a unique solution on the market that enables the optimisation of internal transport processes and staff workflows; for the customer, this means a reduction in testing time of up to 50 per cent.
Innovative sliding roof
As one of the few in Poland, we have a hall with a system for opening roof (9m x 24m opening) above the main test station.

- The ability to test hoists and cranes when fully extended, even if their height exceeds that of the hall.
- Conducting tests regardless of weather conditions – rain or wind do not prevent acceptance tests.

Testing and Certification
Trust is built on evidence. That is why every piece of equipment that leaves our factory undergoes rigorous testing, often in the presence of representatives from the most reputable classification societies, such as DNV.
- Test rig for lifeboat davits: Capable of testing 3 units simultaneously.
- Crane testing facility: A facility unique in the region, capable of testing three cranes simultaneously, with a load capacity of up to 1,600 tonmetres.
- Static and dynamic tests: We verify strength and functionality under conditions that simulate real-world loads.
- Full range of tests: Thanks to the sliding roof, we are able to test the lifts at their full height and range of movement, which eliminates risks and reduces commissioning time for the end customer.
